If I Had One Wish....

Seems like when the seasons change, so do people. That isn't a bad thing. As long as your changing for the benefit of yourself then it's a GREAT thing. Certain people take the season as a plot to list a lot of their wishes going into the new season. Just to back track a little with myself, the ending of last summer was great for me. Fall was too, and even towards the end of winter. Ending of winter, ALL BAD. But now, spring and summer are on the brink, and I'm ready to take on any challenges that it may have in store for me. Last year around this time I was making major moves...LITERALLY...by relocating to from the south to back up north. Not to mention I was going through some personal issues and studying for a MAJOR test. Well, THIS YEAR and this season, I want to do ALL the things that I wasn't able to last spring/summer. I'm not going to list ALL of my personal wishes, but just give you guys a few. So here goes:

1. Keep on working on myself as an individual. Better all aspects of me, and continue to work on the things I can change.

2. Explore the state I live in, and even the BIG CITY that's only a hop, skip, and JUMP away.

3. Stay focus on the task that is at hand when it comes to starting my career. Keep grinding and making sure that all of my I's are dotted, and my T's are crossed.

4. Meet new people. I'm very outgoing and friendly. I'd like to meet people of all different races that I can vibe and get along with.

5. GO TO A BEACH!! I'll be living on the beach WHENEVER I CAN this summer. Last summer, I didn't see NOT ONE!

6. Travel! I have some cities in mind, and even thinking about going over seas. I'll take it as it comes though.

and last but CERTAINLY not least...

7. LIVE MY LIFE and BE HAPPY! I'm starting to realize that sometimes you can't always depend on people to be down to go on little adventures with you and sometimes you just have to take actions into your own hands and do things on your own. I guarantee you, I will not allow ANY ONE to get in the way of my happiness and experiencing life! So if you want to hang, lets do it. If not, I WON'T be waiting for you. *shrugs*

Well there you have it. My wish list for the spring/summer. I'm sure I'll be adding some more things to the list, but these are just the general things. Not to bad eh? Lol. What is on your season wish list? Feel free to share. You don't have to get TOO personal, but feel free to share whatever comes to mind.

Baby Imma Be Your Motivation

I hope this video plays for you guys. I posted it up on Facebook last week and due to the "explicit" content Facebook was on that {*censored*} and wouldn't allow it to play. Anywho, I love this song. It makes me wanna do my sexy dance. Hehe. :-) Just enjoy this song with me.

Velvety Goodness

Maaann, where do I start. First and foremost, let me just say that THIS post isn't random. Lol. There's a few things in life that can make a BAD WEEK into a GREAT week for me. So, I came home from work today (**LATE**) and after I did all my evening routines I happened to open up the fridge and saw a slice of RED VELVET CAKE just looking at me. When I tell you I RAN upstairs and JUMPED on the person who brought it for me, WOW! Lol. Red Velvet is my all time FAVORITE type of cake. I was a little peeved about leaving work late, and just from a moody week that I've had, but when my eyes locked to that cake, MY WORLD lite up...NO LIE! *big smiles* I know you guys probably think I'm FAT. I guarantee you I'm not. But I DO believe that I am a fat person trapped inside a slim person's body *shrugs* Anywho, I don't know when my love affair with red velvet started but I tell you, I fall in love with the cake every time I take a bite. Keep in mind though, it depends on who makes the cake, because I've had some not so great red velvet cake before. -_____-

I promise you that MY WEDDING CAKE WILL BE RED VELVET! I just needed to let the world know that and ALSO my FUTURE HUSBAND! There's NO COMPROMISING! *Melly shrugs* Lol. I don't know if you guys can relate to my infatuation with red velvet but if not, that's quite alright. Feel free to share your favorite type of cakes below. Until then, ENJOY the slice I PRESENT to you! ;-)

Quit The Drama....GROW UP!

I don't know what possessed me to write on this topic so early in the morning, but this has been a topic that has plagued my mind for the longest! Watching shows like "The Real Housewives of Atlanta...Beverly Hills, New York, New Jersey, ALL OF THEM", "Love and Hip-Hop", "Basketball Wives", etc and the rest of the drama filled "reality shows" that are out there, just made me realize that no matter how old you are, women of ALL ages are childish and that's just sad. I know a lot of these shows are just for pure entertainment and as a society, I guess we LOVE the drama (don't lie...you know you tuned into the reunion shows of ALL of these shows listed above--minus "Love and Hip-Hop" of course) but COME ON NOW...really?!?! You are a 40 something year old carrying on as if you were in high school....REALLY?!?! Now listen, I have nothing against ANY of these older women, and I have my favs on these shows and they are getting paid every episode (get your $$$ boo boo), but when you think of the bigger picture, it is really embarrassing and sad the way that these women carry on.

I know I have no business talking as if I'm better than these women because I'm 20 something years younger than them, and that really doesn't give me the ground to talk. But as a woman myself, I feel like I do have the right to say something about it based on my own personal experiences and the experiences of others when it comes to other fellow women. When you think about it, we are a "catty" species. Ready to pounce on the next victim, slap the next {*censored*,} judgmental, in competition with each other, and do all that's drama filled. Please, please, PLEASE...MISS ME WITH ALL DAT! *in my Bonqisha voice*  Me personal, I have a small circle of female friends. I have best friends, close friends, and friends that are basically an extension of family. (I guess those are close friends also...lol) I can say with all the confidence in me that NONE of my female friends act in ANY childish manner. We may all have our moments when we act a little immature, but full blown childishness--uhhhhh...NEGATIVE! lol "Sometimey" friends, no..THOSE are associates. Lol. Out of my life, or I should say my collegiate career, I've lost a total of 4-5 female friends. All for different reasons, some STUPID and some LIGHTWEIGHT serious, but all for the same topic I'm blogging about now--being childish. I must say, since those individuals exited my life, female drama has been NON-EXISTENT! Not going to speak on individual matters because they don't deserve any recognition anywhere on my site, but I hold no grudges and have no bad blood between them all and wish them the BEST in life.

Overall, I'm just trying to say, WOMEN.....yes.....I'm talking to all my female readers right now. We HAVE to do better! Like...SERIOUSLY! I know with age comes maturity, but as you can see from these reality shows, age has nothing to do with maturity. You should not be concern if another female woman is lying about how many months she's pregnant, (really, that should not have even been a drawn out to all the episodes it was), or even stoop to "mean girl" level as Evelyn from "Basketball Wives" did with the situation with Suzie. It really WASN'T THAT SERIOUS! But once again...DRAMA is our (women) nature, and it HAS TO STOP. So they're will probably NEVER be anything exciting on TV if these shows never existed, and I know the era of reality TV is going NO WHERE any time soon. As long as we don't get consumed up in the drama and can seperate their lives from ours, then hey, no problem. All in all, honestly, if you're 25+ and acting like any of these women, then I need for you to reevaluate your purpose in life and GROW UP!

*drops mic*

Note: This was actually written around 10 but I actually had work to do today so I kept stopping...:-)

Don't Let Me Fall

I have to say that the first time I honestly heard this song was on the Season 4 premiere of  BET's "The Game", and  I instantly fell in love with this song. Bobby Ray Simmons Jr. also known as B.O.B, is a 22 year old rap artist from Atlanta, GA. Many people slept on him way back when he came out with "Haterz Everywhere". I must admit, I liked the song, and it did gain #5 on the U.S. Billboard chart. Since then, B.O.B has proven that he is MUSIC worthy with the hit singles "Nothin On You" feat Bruno Mars, and "Airplanes" feat Hayley Williams. "Don't Let Me Fall" is off of his debut album, The Adventures of  Bobby Ray released in April 2010. I'd have to say, he is not only a decent rapper, but the man can also sing. Open your mind to the lyrics of this song and I'm sure that any one can relate to the lyrics. Just the chorus itself was an INSTANT trigger for me. B.O.B has definitely gain a fan with me. There's no doubt that his future will be bright. At the solid age of 22, he can only go up from here. For more info on B.O.B, be sure to Google him.

Enjoy the song!

Robbing The Cradle

PERCY ROMEO MILLER JR. AKA "LIL ROMEO"

I'm sorry. I might get a lot laughs for this one, but this boy...excuse me...MAN...ain't so LITTLE anymore! I'm talking about  Percy "Lil Romeo" Miller Jr. The son of entertainment mogul and entrepreneur Percy "Master P". Miller. Romeo is surely something nice to look at, and he's legal and can BUY HIS OWN DRINKS. Not to mention, do you see the BODY on this 21 year-old!?!?! Romeo isn't just pure body though. His many talents include being an entertainer, actor, and a basketball player. This little cutie actually was awarded a FULL athletic scholarship to the University of Southern California. Not to mention, is now the YOUNGEST CEO ever of his dads company "No Limit Forever". Romeo is also featured on this season of  "Dancing with The Stars" and I hear that he's doing well. (I haven't gotten the chance to check out the kids moves lol.) Lets see, job...check...body...check..looks...check... athletic...check...brains...check...his OWN MONEY....check....I mean, what else can you ask for! Lol. But in all seriousness, it's great to see someone who was the cute little boy rapping about "My Cinderella" to see him as a MAN now. I'm glad that he has a good head on his shoulders and a strong foundation. Only if he was a couple years older, just maybe.  Although he has it ALL together, he can't handle an older woman. I'll let the 21 and under groupies have him. ;-)

Here's a few more pics to look at...ENJOY!

We're Really Growing Up--Life!

First and foremost let me say, HAPPY APRIL and HAPPY APRIL FOOLS TO ALL you jokers out there. I haven't gotten pranked today, and I hope I don't! Lol. I think I'm going to do some research behind this holiday, because I'm not sure why it is one. But I digress...

Moving on...

I had to take this moment to have a real life convo with my readers. This life is soo crazy yet so beautiful at the same time. The older and older I become, the wiser I get, and I am very appreciative of my mindset and mentality and would not change a SINGLE thing about the person that I am. Now, with that said, as I have stated before, I am a very observant person, and to top it off, I'm a thinker. What I have been observing and thinking about the most is those who surround me that are in the same age bracket as me that are sharing their lives with the people they love. Don't get me yet...I'm talking about ENGAGEMENTS, MARRIAGES, and PREGNANCIES! I can't tell you how many people that I know that are either recently engaged, wedding just around the corner, or with little buns in the oven, and I'm blown away by it all. (But in a good way though :-)) I'm realizing each and every day that ish is getting REAL in these streets. It's great to see the people that are closest to me, people that I grew up with, went to school with, and even family members that are embarking on one, if not ALL of the three. I have to say, I'm hating a wee bit right now, but IT'S all love, because I'm happy for each and everyone of you guys and I truly mean that!

I can't say it enough how life is crazy, unpredictable, but yet a beautiful gift that we often take for granted. What makes this life worth living even more is being able to share it with the people you love the most--family members, friends, and life partners. I don't care what ANY ONE says. EVERYONE WANTS/NEEDS SOMEONE! So all you bruised, hopeless romantics out there, you're time will come when you experience love, marriage, and children. You may have been telling yourself that you've waited long enough and your patience is running low, but just continue to be just that--patient. God is in the works of creating your ideal man/woman., and those that you have lost along the way, were all a waste of time. Okay, that sounds harsh but not necessarily a "waste of time". Just a lesson you needed to learn. (Yes, that sounds MUCH better, although, some people that may have came in and out of your life were really a waste of time *shrugs* lol.) Me personally, I'm a fan of love! A sucker for it as some will say about me. But I can't help it. I have a BIG CARING HEART to give and share with the right individual. ;-) I just LOVE to see people so happy with all the things that they've dreamed, hoped for, prayed about, etc. To see it actually happening around me instead of in movies, just goes to show that dreams do come true. Hello, movies about love wouldn't be made if real life experiences never occurred--at least that's how I SEE IT! lol. But don't get me wrong....I've become more of a realist then ANY THING else as the days go by and the more and more growing I do.

Well, to wrap this all up, congrats to you ALL for the life changing events that are happening to you. Congrats to my mothers and fathers-to-be, wives and husbands-to be, the newlyweds, new parents, and to the buns in the ovens that are cooking! A BIG SHOUT OUT to the MEN (notice I said MEN, not BOYS) that know where they want to go in life, and are secure with themselves as men to take on a bold action as proposing to your girlfriend, and/or being the best father-to-be. There needs to be more GREAT MEN out there, so all my hopeless romantics can share the same happiness ;-) And for those who haven't reached that point yet, SHOUT OUT to the couples that have been together for YEARS. Shout out to those individuals who met their significant other in college, who have been with their partner since high school. Those who parted ways  just to end up back together and brought you guys even stronger!! Shout out to those who are taking a risk with love!Shout out the those not letting the confusion of life cloud your judgement and keeping you away from the woman/man that you love. Shout out to those individuals that just got into a relationship. Enjoy the journey! SHOUT OUTS TO YOU ALL!!!!

To love...peace...happiness...

To LIFE! *raises glass and insert sappy love song here*
